Frequently asked questions
What people ask us
in Ecuador.
Does it integrate with the systems I already have in Ecuador?
That's the question we're asked most, and the short answer is yes. We connect via API with what your center already uses and with industry standards: HL7, FHIR and ASTM for analyzers and laboratory. If something has no API, we look at it in the initial conversation and tell you in writing whether it connects, how and with what scope. We never take it for granted before seeing it.
Do I have to change my invoicing software?
No. We integrate with the electronic invoicing provider your center already uses; we don't force you to move what already works. You keep invoicing where you invoice today, and the system stops asking you to type in the same patient twice.
Does it adapt to the unified health record forms?
The system is configured to the formats your center uses and the types of care it provides. We review the exact scope in the initial conversation and it goes in writing in the proposal: we don't take for granted what we haven't seen working.
What about electronic receipts with the SRI?
We integrate with the electronic invoicing provider your center already uses. We've already solved electronic invoicing for health centers in Mexico, Chile and Peru, so we know the way. The scope for Ecuador is confirmed in writing in the proposal.
How does TenmaHealth handle the electronic unified health record?
In Ecuador, the MSP's unified health record (historia clínica única) defines the forms and the minimum data for each visit. The system is configured to those formats and logs every access and every change, with the user and the time.
Have you done tax integrations before?
Yes, and it's the best argument we have. We have integrated health-center billing with the SAT in Mexico, the SII in Chile and SUNAT in Peru. Connecting a clinical system with a tax authority is the most demanding work in this industry, and we've already done it three times.
Does it validate patient identity in Ecuador?
We work with Ecuadorian documents: cédula and RUC, through the Civil Registry. The scope of each validation is confirmed in the proposal.
Do I have to migrate my center's data myself?
No. Migration is included and our team does it, in milestones and with a trial migration that you validate before the final one. Paper records are not digitized: they're recorded in the system from go-live.
Where is my data?
Data protected in accordance with Ecuadorian personal data protection law. It can also be hosted on your own center's server. Your data is yours and you can take it with you whenever you want.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the size of your center and what it needs. It always includes migration, unlimited users and support. After reviewing the scope, we present a fixed-price proposal.
